Dear Connie,

NBIA's 25th Training Institute will be held Sept. 8-11 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in beautiful, sunny Orlando, Fla. - the new corporate headquarters for NBIA.

I am excited to share with you all of the exciting and positive changes to this year's Training Institute. We have made significant enhancements to our course catalog to address the rapid and innovative changes that are occurring globally within entrepreneurial ecosystems.

TheBusiness Incubation Management Certificate Program was a key focus of our enhancements - thecurriculumhas been overhauled to ensure we are staying in step with the latest trends to meet the needs of our valued members. We are introducing two new courses to replace the Fundamentals of Incubator Management and Entrepreneurship courses. The first new course covers best practices in building sustainable entrepreneurship platforms such as business incubators, accelerators, and coworking spaces, while the second new course covers effective revenue and financial models for building profitable entrepreneurship platforms. The certificate program also includes extensive updates to the two other required courses, which address working with client companies and managing entrepreneurial support facilities.

New for this year will also be a series of"Train-the-Trainer"courses. Thesecourses

provide participants with curated course materials they can use to teach entrepreneurs and client companies the necessary essentials to be successful. The course will train program managers:

  • How to teach entrepreneurs how to deploy Lean Startup, Business Model Canvas, and value proposition design into their business planning
  • The fundamentals of venture capital, angel, and crowdfunding funding for startups
  • Ways to build investable pro forma statements and business models to attract investors

Finally, you will also see a wide variety ofa la carte courses offered onrelevant topics

for managers of business incubators, accelerators and other entrepreneurial support programs, including those with a niche or specialty focus. I encourage you to review our comprehensive educational curriculum and register to join us in September. You'll enjoy top-notch, practitioner-based training and peer-to-peer networking opportunities, including two tours planned to showcase Orlando's entrepreneurial support ecosystem.
