As we prepare for the 2016 NADO Washington Policy Conference (WPC), I want to inform you of some important changes to this year’s schedule. I hope that this information will help as you make travel arrangements and plan your trip to D.C. for the conference this April. The 2016 NADO Washington Policy Conference: NADO on the Hill will be held April 4 – 6 at the Crystal City Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA. Registration will open later this week with an early bird registration deadline of March 4.
This year’s conference schedule will be slightly different than in the past in order to better accommodate attendees who will be staying in Washington for EDA’s National Conference on April 7 – 8. This is EDA’s first national conference in 8 years and will be held at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
The Washington Policy Conference will begin with the NADO Board of Directors Meeting on the afternoon of Monday, April 4 followed by the annual Federal Agency Networking Reception. There will be no conference content on Sunday, April 3. We are planning a full day of timely and informative plenary and concurrent sessions at the conference hotel on Tuesday, April 5. NADO on the Hill will be on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 6. As you begin to plan your Hill visits, please be aware that the House will not be in session during the WPC, but the Senate will be.
We are hopeful that these schedule modifications will allow conference attendees who are staying in D.C. for the EDA National Conference to make more efficient use of their time in Washington. We are making every effort to coordinate with EDA’s conference schedule to make the transition between events as smooth as possible.
A draft conference agenda is available here. Additional information on conference speakers, the 2016 Congressional Partnership Awards program, and NADO on the Hill are coming soon.
