NADO is offering two great learning opportunities for your transportation and small business finance and lending staff June 28 - 30 in Denver!

Good afternoon -

NADO is hosting two conferences this summer that may be of interest to your transportation planners and small business loan fund managers-theNational Regional Transportation Conference and theEconomic Development Finance Service (EDFS) Peer Learning Conference. Both will occur June 28 - 30 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Denver, Colorado. We hope that you will consider sending your staff to attend these events as the learning opportunities are designed specifically for RDO staff:

  • Sessions will cover timely and relevant topics, and the conferences have been designed with input from attendees at the previous conferences, transportation and small business finance staff, and NADO's leadership
  • Each conference includes designated opportunities for attendees to engage in formal and informal peer networking and learning
  • Experts in the fields of transportation planning and small business lending will be on hand to offer tips and ideas for enhancing program delivery
  • Both conferences will include presentations from various federal agencies, giving attendees an opportunity to learn about new programs and have specific questions answered

We are excited for this year's line-up of sessions at the National Regional Transportation Conference, which will feature new ideas on transportation and economic resilience, as well as engagement strategies, multimodal planning topics, data for regional planning, in-depth mobile workshops, and much more. Dedicated time for peer exchange will offer an opportunity for focused networking and dialogue. The closing plenary is worth noting, since it will feature speakers from USDOT and EDA talking about their programs in the context of new administration priorities, as well as information and resources available from their agencies. AICP CM credits will be available for all sessions and workshops.

During the EDFS Conference, attendees will be able to discuss and learn about

challenges and opportunities within today's small business lending environment, learn about new sources of funding capital, hear about successful marketing approaches and strategies, gather ideas for enhancing technical assistance for borrowers, and find out how their peers are meeting the needs of non-traditional borrowers. Additionally, Vin DiCara of DiCara Training and Consulting, will be on hand to provide insights into business credit analysis; loan structuring; avoiding (or working out) bad loans; cash flow, collateral and guarantees, and analyzing financial statements. The conference will wrap up with a panel of federal representatives who will share information about their programs as well as respond to attendees specific questions.

The early bird registration deadline for both conferences is May 26; the EDFS rate is $300 and the Transportation rate is $325.
