Broadband Solutions
Join us for a highly-anticipated event, given the latest federal and state broadband funding opportunities that are presenting themselves. In the session, we’ll hear the latest news on federal and state broadband funding programs, and also hear from several service providers about how they are making partnerships work to expand broadband access in different parts of Virginia.

Ajit Pai, a Partner at Searchlight, focuses on the firm’s broadband and digital infrastructure efforts and is one of Searchlight’s representatives on All Points’ Board of Directors.
Richard E. Jenkins is the USDA/RUS General Field Representative (GFR) for VA, WV, MD and DE. He has degrees from Marshall University and the West Virginia Institute of Technology.

Chris Kyle serves as Vice President Industry Affairs and Regulatory. He leads the new market development activities, and is the primary contact with local, state and federal legislators and regulators. He joined Shentel Cable marketing and sales in 2003.

Federal Partnerships
An in-depth look at efforts to establish and activate a federal commission in the Southeastern United States, which most recently includes a Southeast Crescent Regional Commission Coalition to discuss the role of federal commissions in rural economic development policy and develop strategies to bring it to fruition.

An update from the Economic Development Administration about its ongoing efforts to promote innovation and competitiveness in order to prepare regions for growth and success, as well as the latest information about forthcoming EDA funding opportunities.

An update on “Happenings on the Hill” from NADO, including the presidential transition, key legislative efforts and stimulus package funding.
